Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the Meta Connect 2024 dates — September 25–26 — on Instagram Stories.

Meta unveiled the Quest 3, Ray-Ban Smart Glasses, and AI features at Connect 2023.

We expect the leaked Meta Quest 3s and "Orion" AR glasses prototype to appear at Meta Connect 2024.

Meta Connect 2024 will take place on September 25–26, Mark Zuckerberg revealed in a brief Instagram story on Monday. Meta's social media accounts promise that Connect 2024 will "explore the future of AI and mixed reality and share progress on our long-term vision to help build the metaverse."

We won't know more about the Connect 2024 itinerary for months. That being said, Meta's PR team prioritizing AI before XR feels like an intentional choice. After Google covered two straight hours of AI at I/O 2024, Meta might take a similar approach this fall, showing off how its Meta AI and Llama 3 models have evolved.

If you're sick of AI, that won't sound appealing. But unlike Google, Meta should counterbalance its AI push with plenty of hardware announcements to keep consumers invested.

Months of leaks have us confident that Zuckerberg will unveil the Meta Quest 3s (or Quest Lite) on stage at Meta Connect 2024, just as he revealed the Quest 3 at Connect 2023.

🗓️ Mark your calendars 🗓️ Meta Connect 2024 will be September 25 + 26 where we'll explore the future of AI and mixed reality and share progress on our long-term vision to help build the metaverse.June 3, 2024

The Meta Quest 3s is rumored to have the Quest 3's Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chip and RGB cameras for full-color XR passthrough, but the thicker Quest 2 lenses with lower display resolution — all to target an alleged $299 price tag that'll appeal to budget buyers.

Meta announced its open-source Horizon OS earlier this year, with partners like ASUS ROG and Lenovo promising to make their own VR headsets. So it's possible they could join the stage at Connect to exhibit their new hardware — though we suspect Meta wouldn't want these companies to steal the Quest 3s' thunder.

(Image credit: Michael Hicks / Android Central)

In addition, we've heard credible reports that Meta intends to show off its Orion AR glasses prototype at Connect 2024. Allegedly, there is "internal pressure to ensure a high level of performance" with this prototype when it's first shown off to the public.

Caitlin Kalinowski, Meta's Head of AR Glasses Hardware, told us in an exclusive interview that they're working on AR glasses with "high field-of-view immersion" that will, in her words, trigger the same "Oh my God, WOW! I can't believe this" reactions as the original Oculus Rift when it first introduced a ton of people to VR.

While Meta's AR glasses won't be consumer-ready for years, Meta Connect 2024 attendees might have the chance to try the first-ever public prototype. In the meantime, Meta will probably spend time focusing on the Meta Ray-Ban Smart Glasses, which recently got a major multimodal AI upgrade.

Last year's event took place on Meta's campus in Menlo Park, California, while pre-pandemic Connects took place at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center. We'll find out later this year where to expect this next event, but non-Californians should be able to stream the keynote via Facebook or YouTube.

Many users have reported problems with the Meta Quest Guardian Boundary making them float or being tilted.

Normal methods of resetting the boundary don't always fix the problem, and it happens while sitting and standing in both roomscale and stationary boundaries.

The problem is caused by lying down mode, which was introduced in Meta Quest update v64 in April 2024.

Over the past month or so, I've been struggling with weird problems with my Meta Quest 3's guardian boundary. I'd find myself floating above the floor in many Quest games, even though my height was set correctly, and I recently retraced my Guardian boundary. Even resetting the boundary wouldn't help.

I also found that my floor would tilt at an uncomfortable angle when I reset my guardian boundary by holding down the Oculus or Meta button on the right controller. My son reported many of the same issues on his Meta Quest 2

Thankfully, I found a fix! Turns out, the lying-down mode introduced in Meta Quest update V64 in April is the culprit. Fixing the problem requires turning off lying-down mode. While that's annoying for folks who enjoy the feature, it's at least nice to be able to fix it in a quick way. Here's how to do that:

1. Click the Meta or Oculus button on your right controller to bring up the universal menu bar.

2. Open up the quick settings panel by clicking on the clock.

3. Click the Settings button on the top right.

4. Go into Experimental features by tapping the tile.

5. Click on the slider next to use apps while lying down to turn the feature off.

Once that's done, it's best to reset your Guardian Boundary settings to get a fresh start and ensure everything is good to go. To do that, head back into the settings menu, then click Physical Space, then tap on the clear button next to the clear boundary history option.

Once that's done, you'll need to redraw your Guardian Boundary by following the on-screen steps. If you want to re-set up your room for mixed reality, open settings on your Meta Quest 3, tap Physical Space, then launch the setup tool found under the spaces tab.

Meta's next VR headset is almost certainly coming very soon, and a new Meta Horizon store listing seems to confirm its name.

Alo Moves, an upcoming mixed reality yoga app, was announced yesterday and now appears to be compatible with the Meta Quest 3s once the app launches in the near future. The problem is that there is no Meta Quest 3s right now, but a budget-minded version of the Meta Quest 3 has been rumored for some time now.

This same exact thing happened with the Meta Quest 3 in May 2023 when the name "Meta Quest 3" appeared on the compatibilty list of all apps before it was officially announced. If Meta follows the same timeline, we should expect the Meta Quest 3s to launch sometime in Fall 2024.

The Meta Quest 3s is expected to debut in a form factor similar to the Meta Quest 2, including the same three-point adjustable Fresnel lenses as that older headset. Other cost-cutting measures will also likely be employed for the release, as it's expected that Meta will launch the Quest 3s at a tantalizing $299 price tag.

But despite its low price, the Meta Quest 3s is expected to use the same powerful Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chipset as the more expensive Quest 3, meaning that all the best upcoming Quest 3-exclusive games will be supported on the Quest 3s.

Additionally, the Quest 3s is expected to have full-color passthrough mixed reality vision like the Quest 3, enabling games like Alo Moves to display a real yoga instructor in your living room in a realistic way.

Meta is a big sponsor of the Summer Games Fest, which airs live on June 7 and will debut dozens of new games. It's entirely possible that we'll see the Meta Quest 3s there alongside new VR game announcements.

Folks might remember when Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg took the virtual stage in 2021 and debuted the Metaverse. During the unveiling, one of the keystone examples was a vision of at-home workouts with real coaches that can be virtually placed in your home, lending the authenticity and personability these platforms currently lack.

Surprisingly, Meta isn't going to be the company that actually invents this, despite ushering in the vision. Instead, that honor will go to Alo Moves, an online on-demand "movement and mindfulness" platform that's currently creating a new high-tech mixed reality app for the Meta Quest 3 that's co-developed with the Oscar-winning visual effects studio, Magnopus.

The Alo Moves Quest 3 app will give at-home yoga fans to virtually see a life-sized instructor in their own home, recreated in lifelike three-dimensional space thanks to a unique volumetric capture method. This will allow players to not only move around the coach as they might in real life but also to use the power of mixed reality and "shrink" the coach so they can be placed anywhere in the room for easy reference during movement and mindfulness sessions.

The concept of this is very similar to what we saw in Zuckerberg's initial unveiling of Metaverse concepts, which would provide the tools for people to experience virtual activities in a way that feels more like an in-person event.

Alo Moves will deliver regular five to twenty-four minute classes with real instructors similar to Supernatural, one of the best Meta Quest 3 exercise apps, but the key difference is that the coach will be in your home rather than in a virtual environment. That ensures that folks feel comfortable and safe since they can see their surroundings while still being able to focus on the workout.

Alo Moves XR is currently listed as coming soon and can be wishlisted on the Meta Horizon store.

Magic Leap and Google announced that the two companies are entering a "multi-faceted, strategic technology partnership."

The announcement doesn't get into specifics, but it likely means new hardware from Magic Leap made for Google's upcoming Android XR platform.

This marks one of several major XR partnerships between Google and other technology providers like Samsung.

The mixed reality wars are heating up, and the latest partnership announcement between Google and Magic Leap further proves it. Magic Leap announced on the company's blog that it would enter a new, multi-faceted strategic technology partnership with Google to "expand the long-standing relationship between the two companies."

Magic Leap currently makes augmented reality glasses that are used in commercial and enterprise spaces for things like virtual training, manufacturing, and demonstrations, among other things. While the announcement doesn't specifically announce new hardware, the company says that "Magic Leap’s leadership in optics and manufacturing" will be combined with Google's technology platforms to "foster the future of the XR ecosystem with unique and innovative product offerings."

At Google I/O 2024, the company quickly demonstrated a new pair of AR glasses that use the new Project Astra AI platform. The demonstration was short but impressive, showing how AI could be used on a pair of mixed-reality glasses to help people solve problems and even remember where they left things like car keys and glasses. It's not known if these glasses are just internal prototypes at Google or something to have to do with this Magic Leap partnership.

Android Central has contacted Google to obtain additional information about this partnership, but they did not respond in time for publication. We will update the article once we hear back.

Google is already an investor in Magic Leap, so the partnership makes sense given Google's renewed sense of interest in XR after the debut of the Apple Vision Pro. Magic Leap has been making AR glasses for years, so it makes sense for Google to partner with a company that already has experience in the space in order for it to build out its expected upcoming Android XR platform.

Google is already in another partnership with Samsung to deliver the first Samsung XR headset, expected to debut later this year. Meanwhile, Quest 3 maker Meta recently announced that it would partner with companies like Xbox, Lenovo, and Asus ROG to create new headsets using its own Horizon OS.

BigBox VR, the developer behind Population: One, says that the battle royale Evolving Map will continue to see regular changes and events for folks who love it, so don't worry about that disappearing if you're one. It makes total sense when you consider that the game went free-to-play last year, as the mode should help reel people back in who might have quit due to the game's difficulty curve, similar to Fortnite's many modes.

Population: One isn't the only battle royale among the best Meta Quest games. Contractors: Showdown just launched a month ago, bringing a more hardcore, realistic aesthetic and gameplay to the genre on VR headsets like the Meta Quest 3. It fits extremely well alongside Pop One and guarantees that there's a battle royale game for everyone, no matter your skill level or interest.

Rising from the ashes

Population: One's new Phoenix Royale update is a total blast to play with friends and random folks alike. It feels like an ideal mashup between several different games' multiplayer modes, including the respawn speed of Deathmatch, the buy stations from Call of Duty: Warzone, and contested territories with loot from something like Planetside 2.

All of this takes place on a brand new map whose only purpose is to facilitate the Phoenix Royale mode. You can't play Phoenix Royale on other maps at the moment, although based on the game's history, I wouldn't be surprised to see that change at some point in the future.

In essence, Phoenix Royale's gameplay elements are designed to appeal to players who have had difficulty getting anywhere in the main battle royale modes because of higher-skilled players. It levels the playing field by allowing squad members to redeploy within a few seconds of death so long as at least one other squad member is still around.

The new in-game currency can't be purchased with real money, ensuring this isn't a pay-to-win scheme.

That, along with the new classes and upgrades that can be purchased from buy stations, means that things aren't left up to chance anymore. In fact, all weapons you'll find lying around are only one-star and have to be upgraded through the buy stations.

Higher-tier loot can be found in supply drops and loot crates, but you'll need to earn those through in-game currency that can be found scattered across the map. Gem Bars are a new in-game currency that's only available in Phoenix Royale and is used for buy stations but cannot be purchased with real money, ensuring that this isn't a pay-to-win experience.

Respawn rates are closer to a deathmatch-style map, and the new classes, supply drops, and loot crates help liven things up.

The new Phoenix Royale map is also a lot less vertical, providing mostly just two and three-story buildings as the highest vantage points on a map. That's great for players who find themselves getting frustrated by long-range snipers on the more open battle royale map.

Players can also finally sprint around the map by clicking on the left stick, something that's not exclusive to Phoenix Royale but will certainly help when trying to get away from an enemy in any location.

Last but not least is the new zone-shifting mechanic, which you'll be familiar with if you've played Fortnite in the last year. As the zone closes in on its final smaller shape, it'll start to move around the map instead of continually shrinking on a single point. It's a significantly better strategic option as it prevents camping at the center of the circle.

This seems like the ideal happy medium between battle royale and deathmatch modes.

As someone who used to play Pop One weekly, I find it great to see this kind of mode get added. Most of the friends I regularly played with moved over to playing Pop One's Sandbox mode, and while that offers an incredible amount of variety for regular players, I absolutely cannot stand deathmatch mode on a regular basis.

Battle royale appeals to me like few other multiplayer shooter modes because it's as objective-based as it is kills-based. Exploring the world while taking out enemies is so much more fun to me than endlessly running through the same corridors only to kill, die, and repeat over and over again.

In this way, I think Phoenix Royale will help bridge the gap between players like myself and my friends who seem to enjoy the speed of deathmatch over battle royale's more methodical pace.

Pop One gamers can try out the new mode starting Friday, May 31, and will earn special rewards that are only available between May 31 and June 20, 2024.

Serious competition

While Phoenix Royale may have been designed for players who find Population: One's battle royale mode to be too challenging to play alongside serious players, it doesn't mean that serious players need not apply. If anything, leveling the playing field should provide a new opportunity for the best players to actually lose a few rounds every once in a while, a rare challenge for the elite tier.

But I posit that Contractors: Showdown might actually be the better choice for folks looking for a more "serious" experience, anyway. While Pop One is a ton of fun and always worth coming back to, Contractors: Showdown presents a more realistic gameplay experience from top to bottom.

Obviously, given the popularity of Fortnite compared to every other battle royale on the market, a "serious" theme doesn't equate to more players. But it certainly appeals to a different demographic, and that's the beauty of the current crop of options in VR.

We've also seen real competition come in the form of what I'll call "battle royale lite" games from Rec Room and Gun Raiders, two of the best free Meta Quest games. While neither of these games is a dedicated battle royale experience, both offer this mode and several others within their metaverse-like package.

In fact, both Gun Raiders and Rec Room are available on Google Play and iOS platforms, meaning there are plenty of players at all hours of the day, even if they don't have a VR headset. Obviously, VR players will have an advantage because it's far easier to know what's happening around you when you're immersed in the game, but it's nice to have the ability to play your favorite game how and where you want it.

What you need to know

Asgard's Wrath 2's Meta Quest 3 update is finally out, with v5.0.1535650 totaling 7.8GB of updated content.

The new update includes upgraded textures, large enemy and character models, and other graphical enhancements for Meta's most powerful VR headset.

Quest 3 gamers can choose between fidelity mode and performance mode to select better visuals or a better framerate.

The long-awaited Asgard's Wrath 2 graphics upgrade for the Meta Quest 3 has finally arrived, bringing with it 7.8GB of graphically upgraded content. Gamers can look forward to notably upgraded texture resolution in the environment, plus detail found throughout objects and other areas of the world.

To update the game, just head to your library tab on the Meta Quest 3, tap the three-dot overflow menu next to the Asgard's Wrath 2 listing, and tap update. Once you've launched the game, open up the game's settings menu, tap user interface, and then enable Enhanced Rendering Features.

Note that checking this box toggles between "performance" and "fidelity" modes, as it's often referred to on consoles like the PS5. Leaving the box unchecked will run the game on Quest 3 at a higher resolution and a higher framerate than Quest 2 while checking the box will bring the framerate down to 72 FPS but upgrade the rest of the visual experience.

Above, you'll see some comparisons from developer Sanzaru Games showcasing how enemies and textures look after the visual upgrade. We've also taken a handful of screenshots to showcase how it looks running on a Quest 3.

Many world objects and enemies, like the giant turtle pictured in the gallery above or even one of the giant scorpions you'll find throughout the desert, now feature spectral highlights, more detailed geometry, and enhanced texture detail. Other effects, like reflections, look better in motion rather than screenshots, so be sure to check the game out yourself to really enjoy the visual spectacle.

In our Asgard's Wrath 2 review, we named it the best VR game of all time because of the scope of the game - a massive 100+ hour-long RPG - as well as the production quality and satisfying, varied mechanics in each of the game's seven chapters and four playable characters.

Over the past few months since the game launched, first-party Oculus developer Sanzaru Games has debuted free monthly events that players can dive into and collect special armor sets, weapons, and other goodies only available during those events.

Asgard's Wrath 2 is included for free with every Meta Quest 3 headset sold through the end of June 2024, so be sure to take advantage of the bonus by redeeming it on the Meta Horizon store. Aside from the graphical upgrade, the new update includes the following changes and additions:

New Uncharted Rift layouts have been added – check out the Duat-themed areas on your next run!

Applied additional fixes to Monster Den 'Boiling-Bridge Hideaway' in order to address players being unable to complete this den.

Applied an additional check on Viggo’s mount gear to assist in unlocking the mount gear for players who have previously already upgraded Viggo’s armor.

Resolved an issue where Monster Den 'Dubious Cache' fails to be marked as complete for some players.

Resolved an issue where players could be blocked from progressing if they die during Djehuty’s Staff quest step.

Resolved an issue in Uncharted Rift - Ruins layouts where some players would become blocked from progressing due to a switch being displaced.

Resolved an issue where a voice line would repeat after completing the quest “Hide and Seek” and killing another Smiter.

Fixed an issue when encountering a Bruiser in a Loki Anomaly where the Bruiser's health bar would not appear.

A new ad on Instagram showcases a Meta Quest 3 UI with movable windows.

These windows stay where they're put like a physical monitor.

Apple Vision Pro launched with a similar window management feature, and Meta previously teased that it was working on a big UI update for the Quest.

There's no current ETA on the new update.

The Apple Vision Pro launched with a revolutionary mixed reality UI that lets users place windows anywhere they want in 3D space. Vision Pro users can easily multitask between apps and windows by placing them where they make the most sense — multiple monitors on a desk, a giant TV on a wall, a floating video over the kitchen counter, etc.

Thankfully, it seems Meta has taken note and has built-in near-identical functionality into the Meta Quest 3, as shown in a mysterious new advertisement on Instagram (via jdunrrp on Threads). The ad shows a mechanic wearing a Meta Quest 3, juggling multiple windows around the workshop while working on parts of a car.

The windows in the ad stay where they are in physical 3D space, just as you might expect a real monitor or display to act. This lines up with what Meta CTO Andrew Bosworth said back in March, but it's the first time we've seen the feature running in action on a Meta Quest 3.

This feature is important for Meta as it continues to sell the Quest 3 as a mixed-reality headset, not a strictly virtual reality one. Since mixed reality mixes both virtual and actual reality together, it makes sense for the company to continue to develop ways for users to view both realities while wearing the headset.

There's no current ETA on when this new update will arrive, but it's likely that the update could be coming very soon if Meta is already advertising for it in public places like Instagram. Meta is currently testing firmware update v66, but that update doesn't include these features at the moment.

As the ad notes, Meta Quest 2 headsets won't have access to all the new features, almost certainly because of the headset's low resolution, black and white passthrough vision.

Android Central has reached out to Meta about this potential new update but they did not get back to us in time for publication. We will update the article once we have more information.

All-in on mixed reality

Three major things separate the Meta Quest 3 from the Apple Vision Pro: price, performance, and display resolution. All three categories feature much higher numbers on the Apple Vision Pro, but it's clear that the Quest 3's $500 price tag is far more accessible than the $3500 price tag of the Vision Pro.

As such, we're not completely sure how well the Quest 3 will be able to handle multitasking between lots of windows at once. Currently, the Quest UI limits users to running three apps at a time, and all apps are displayed side-by-side like a triple monitor setup. App windows cannot be separated at the moment, but this new update will change that entirely.

While we wait for Meta to reveal more specifics on the update, it would be best to grab some of the best Meta Quest 3 accessories like the BoboVR M3 Pro, a head strap replacement that makes the headset far more comfortable to use for long periods of time.

In addition to free-roaming window capability, Meta has been working toward attracting more developers to create 2D apps for Horizon OS, the operating system that Meta Quest headsets run. Unfortunately, given the relationship between Meta and Google, there's little likelihood that we'll see the Google Play Store on Meta Quest headsets anytime soon.

Meta is currently working on a Meta Quest Pro 2 with LG, which is expected to debut sometime in 2027, meaning the company has plenty of time to get developers onboard with making 2D apps before it tries to match the number of apps on Vision Pro.

In the meantime, Meta and Microsoft announced that Volumetric Apps will be coming to Windows by way of Meta Quest headsets, and it's entirely possible that this ad is referencing some of that functionality in addition to the Quest 3 UI update.

We had already found a treasure trove of weaponry and some sweet new armor in this dungeon, but there was one chest left that we’d been waiting to find the key for. Too bad the chest had other intentions when we opened it. I’ve seldom screamed like that in my adult life!

Turns out, Dungeons of Eternity’s latest update added Mimics, a fantasy creature that disguises itself as a valuables-filled chest and hides itself in the deepest dungeons you might try to raid. Once opened, the Mimic’s fanged visage is fully revealed, very killing the person who attempted to loot its coffers.

Finding this chest alone would have been cool enough, but there’s something special about quality father-son bonding time that made it significantly better. I cheered my son on as I dodged fireballs that emitted from the chest, and as we both went in for the killing blow, the high fives that erupted from the room were the kind some only reserve for the stands at a stadium.

It's these moments and countless others have helped shape the bond between my son and I, and I'd love to encourage other parents to do the same. Even if it's playing a game that you normally wouldn't like, doing things together — especially if that's playing immersive VR games — creates lasting memories and a childlike sense of joy that's akin to when he was even younger and we would play with action figures or LEGO on the floor together.

There’s something special about gaming with your kids that helps bridge the traditional generational gap in interests and understanding. Gaming breaks down borders, but it can also be an unhealthy way to add more couch time to your life. That’s where VR comes in.

Most VR games are inherently more active than traditional games on a flat display because they force you to move around more, even if that just means moving your head or your arms. It’s better for your body and mind because you’re not spending another Friday night just sitting on the couch.

Traditional games can encourage unhealthy habits, but VR games encourage movement and physicality in a new and different way.

But VR gaming is also about more than just getting up and moving around a bit. It’s a way to create lasting memories in a way that’s unique to our brains’ ability to capture spatial information.

While traditional flat-screen gaming can elicit emotions and create memorable moments, our brains were built to experience things with more than just our eyes and ears. They were built to explore with our hands, to walk with our legs (or roll in a wheelchair), and sense the ethereal quality of being there with our presence.

When my son asks me if we can play Dungeons of Eternity, he speaks about it the same way he might speak about playing with his friends outside or exploring the woods. That’s because he’s going on a real adventure with his dad, slaying actual skeletons and undead wizards with the weapons his hands hold and his eyes behold, exploring new places we’ve never been (and can never go back to), and, of course, finding gobs of treasure as a reward.

(Image credit: Nicholas Sutrich / Android Central)

We love our outdoor time and get plenty of it, but VR gives us the ability to go on a real adventure in a way that the fully-explored real world sometimes can't.

It’s fun because we can experience a romanticized version of life together. It’s impossible to actually set out on “a medieval quest” — the one created by fantasy books and movies, not the plague-filled serfdom — because, quite frankly, nearly everything has already been discovered or done in some way, usually then recorded and rebroadcast over YouTube to be experienced in some cheap second-hand way.

So instead of just watching or reading about someone else doing these things, we’re able to actually do them and create lasting memories from the experiences. It’s the difference between simply observing someone do something cool and actually doing something cool yourselves.

(Image credit: Nicholas Sutrich / Android Central)

My son and I have been gaming together since he was four or five — it’s hard to remember exactly when he started joining in for more than a few seconds — and we’ve poured our fair share of hours into plenty of games across a wide variety of systems. Whether it’s playing Minecraft cross-platform on different devices, leveling up on the living room TV with Minecraft Dungeons, or taking turns passing the controller in Breath of the Wild, we’ve made memories neither of us will ever forget.

And while I cherish all those times together, there’s something truly special about being able to play the same game together inside if the virtual world together. It’s a substantially more personal experience because you can see and understand the body language of the other person.

(Image credit: Nicholas Sutrich / Android Central)

Games like Dungeons of Eternity make it feel like he’s 4 again and I’m sitting on the floor with him while we play with stuffed animals and action figures, making a story while we make memories.

When we play in VR, it’s not sitting next to each other on a couch. Games like Dungeons of Eternity make it feel like he’s 4 again and I’m sitting on the floor with him while we play with stuffed animals and action figures, making a story while we make memories. It also feels like a way to preserve childhood because age barriers are irrelevant in a game.

Of course, I love time outdoors with him and we spend a lot of it there. There’s a reason I live in a mountainous area where we can still naturally explore. But there’s something satisfying about being able to still feel like we got a physical adventure even if we didn’t go outside for it.

(Image credit: Nicholas Sutrich / Android Central)

If you haven’t played VR with your kids yet, I wholly encourage you to try it! If you’ve only got one VR headset in the house, check out the best Meta Quest 2 deals and pick up an extra one for under $200. You’ll eventually have to upgrade it to keep playing the latest games, but the most popular VR headset of all time will still be around for a few years, yet.

Think of it as an early start to Summer vacation so you can take completely different adventures all throughout the week.

Or if that’s too much for you, just play what you have around the house. Whether it’s crafting and mining on two phones or taking turns passing the controller back and forth, I encourage you to do more gaming with your kids. It’s ridiculously fun, helps build relationships, and creates lasting, active memories. Plus, there’s something for every interest, so it’s not hard to find games that at least two people can love together.

For the most part, they look like regular glasses, apart from the built-in LEDs at in the corners of the frames.

What else can be said? If you were already planning to up your mixed-reality game with both of these innovative products, it's hard to argue with this price. Then again, it may not be worthwhile for you if you don't think you'll use the smart glasses, or vice versa.
